The story of a married couple, Sung Dong Il and Jin Hee Kyung, who run a boarding house near the airport and live with various people who work at the airport.

Following the Boxer Rebellion, the Qing Dynasty sought to rejuvenate themselves by sending promising young men to military school in Japan. Among them were Qing aristocrat Liang Xiang, revolutionary Yang Kai Zhi, and Beiyang Army soldier Li Ren Jun.
